Position: Sales Agronomists

Job Summary

Seed Co Malawi Limited is inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the post of Sales Agronomists.

Reporting directly to the Agronomy Manager and Territory Managers, the Sales Agronomists will be spread across the Extensions Planning Areas and will be responsible for both sales and agronomy for the company.

Major Activities Of The Job

Grow direct sales in given Extension Planning Area (EPAs) through sales pitches.
Ensure maximum coverage of Agrodealers, general dealers and chain stores within an EPA.
Ensure all selling points always adhere to retail standards.
Initiates orders of seeds in liaison with Territory Sales Managers and distribution unit.
Provide weekly stock movement reports within a given EPA.
Ensure point of sale materials are timely and professionally displayed at all selling points.
Network with stakeholders, potential customers, and accurately demonstrating features and functionalities of Seed Co seeds.
troubleshoot potential issues and handle sales inquiries from customers by providing efficient and effective customer service to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
Consistently apply all risks and due diligence activities related to seed sales.
Consolidate and report to Territory Sales Managers all unsold seed after each selling season.
Maintain a profile of direct Customers, current and potential distributors, current, past and potential sales figures.
Ensure mounting of effective and impactful demonstration plots in each EPA.
Promote and represent Seed co Mw Ltd in all DAEC and other agricultural strategic meetings and gatherings in the respective area of jurisdiction.
Provide technical (agronomic) support to farmers within your jurisdiction.

Qualifications

Diploma in Agribusiness.
Clean Class B driver's license

Experience

Minimum of 2 years' experience as an agriculture extension field worker.
The ideal person should have the following attributes:
Ability to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills
Honest and reliable with good moral values and behaviour
