Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Stores Clerk to manage inventory and stock records at our central warehouse. The Stores Clerk will play a key role in ensuring efficient stock control, proper record-keeping, and accurate documentation of all inventory movements. This role requires a high level of organization, integrity, and familiarity with inventory management systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory in the warehouse.
  • Issue stock and materials to relevant departments based on approved requests.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory management systems regularly.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excesses to the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures and policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the store area.
  • Support periodic audits and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) is required; a certificate or diploma in Procurement, Logistics, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of2 years of experience in inventory or storekeeping roles.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Excel, Word) and familiarity with  stock/inventory software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to handle stock movement when required.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English and at least one local language.
