Position: Clinic Nurse (3 posts)

About Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO)
Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO) is a locally registered NGO established in 1995 to support government efforts in combating HIV and AIDS and other health-related challenges. Through the CDC-funded IMPACT Project, MACRO is working to strengthen HIV testing services and contribute to achieving the 95-95-95 targets.
Job Overview
The Clinic Nurse will provide clinical, psychosocial, and preventative care services, including HIV/AIDS management, ART support, and family planning services, ensuring high-quality and confidential care to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HIV, STI, and family planning counselling services
- Conduct health education sessions for clients
- Monitor ART service quality and follow up on unsuppressed clients
- Manage ART commodities and medical supplies
- Support viral load monitoring and defaulter tracing
- Represent the organization in stakeholder engagements
- Train and mentor clinic staff
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Nursing with 5 years’ experience or Degree in Nursing with 3 years’ experience
- Certified in HIV/AIDS management, PrEP, TB, cervical cancer screening, and ART guidelines
- Registered with the Nurses Council of Malawi
- Experience in ART management and infection prevention
- Familiarity with Ministry of Health systems and procedures
