Position: Room attendant

Sunbird Tourism plc, Malawi's leading hotel group, invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals who are passionate about advancing their careers to fill the vacant positions tenable at various Sunbird Hotels and Resorts.

ROOM ATTENDANT

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Clean the trolley by using chemicals.
2. Prepare vacant rooms when available.
3. Collect and deliver guest laundry from the rooms.
4. Strip bed linen when required.
5. Make beds, clean rooms daily and provide guest amenities.
6. Provide turndown service every evening
7. Respond to guest requests and complaints.
8. Practice strict health and hygiene in dressing and work habits.
9. Ensure equipment, furniture and fittings in the rooms are in good condition at all times.

Knowledge, skills, competences and attributes desired:

1. Certificate in Housekeeping Operations from a well- recognized institution.
2. A full Malawi School Certificate of Education.
3. 1- year experience in a related capacity.
4. Cordial and hospitable character.
5. Observant and attentive skills.
6. Organized and attention to detail.
