Job Description
- Coordinating development of scope of work, request for quotations, tender evaluations, and adjudications of projects
- Overseeing and supporting capital and site improvement projects, including business case generation, planning, and management for timely delivery of economic and community outcomes
- Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Monitoring procurement and escalating roadblocks to management to prevent delays
- Measuring and reporting on project performance and expenditure against project budgets using appropriate tools and techniques
- Developing comprehensive project plans as shared and communicated to management and key stakeholders
- Evaluating the work standards and signing off all projects to the original BOQ and agreed project standards as per the contract
- Ensuring all projects are fully integrated into operations and maintenance systems through effective handover
- Controlling and monitoring the quality of outsourced maintenance work
- Establishing work standards with contractors to ensure compliance with Illovo's standard procedures and legal requirements
- Promoting and adhering to Illovo's procedures, policies, and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Large-scale project management and implementation experience
- Business Optimization/Capital Exposure and or Project
- Management experience of at least 3 years
- Familiarity with SAP or similar would be an advantage
