Vacancy at Malawi Union Conference

Position: Human Resource Officer

Malawi Union Conference is a Christian organization of the Seventh Day Adventist Church seeking to recruit a competent, organized, professional and experienced Human Resource officer to join our team

KEY REQUIREMENTS

1. Be a loyal, baptized practicing HR member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
2. Must own a degree in Human Resource Management or above
3. Full knowledge of Malawi labour laws such as Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Workers Compensation Act and other Acts related to employment
4. Knowledge of litigation procedure related to human resource
5. Self-starter with handson experience in human resource management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sound knowledge and experience in HRM, legislation, governance, policies and procedures
2. HR knowledge of the labour environment in Malawi
3. Keep abreast of all legislative and organisational policy changes
4. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently on HR issues
5. Must be fully bilingual and proficient in English and Chichewa
6. Be able to create and implement systems for better organization
