About the Role
Kuwala Christian Girls School is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teachers to join their team in the Science, Humanities, and Languages departments. Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Registration with relevant education authorities (where applicable).
- Secondary school teaching experience is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to integrate ICT effectively into teaching and learning.
- Strong moral character and professionalism.
- Commitment to Christian values and the holistic development of students.
Subject-Specific Requirements:
SCIENCES (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computer Studies)
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in the subject of specialisation.
- Ability to conduct practical/experimental lessons (for Chemistry, Biology, Physics).
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures (for Sciences).
- For Computer Studies: Strong knowledge of computer systems, programming, networking, or databases is an advantage.
HUMANITIES (Bible Knowledge, History, Geography)
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in the subject of specialisation.
- Strong understanding of the secondary-school curriculum.
- For Bible Knowledge: Strong understanding of Scripture and Christian principles.
- For Geography: Ability to use maps, diagrams, fieldwork, and other geographical resources.
LANGUAGES (English, Chichewa)
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in the subject of specialisation.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English or Chichewa.
- Ability to develop students' reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with the curriculum and Christian ethos.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.
- Assess, record, and report student progress accurately and on time.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.
- Integrate ICT and digital tools into teaching and learning.
- Link classroom learning to real-life situations and challenges.
- Maintain an organised, disciplined, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Support extracurricular programmes, clubs, sports, and spiritual activities.
- Participate in devotions, chapel services, and spiritual programmes.
- Uphold Christian values and serve as a role model of integrity and faith.
- Adhere strictly to safeguarding and child protection policies.
