About the Role

Kuwala Christian Girls School is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teachers to join their team in the Science, Humanities, and Languages departments. Key Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
2. Recognised teaching qualification.
3. Registration with relevant education authorities (where applicable).
4. Secondary school teaching experience is an added advantage.
5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
6. Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to integrate ICT effectively into teaching and learning.
9. Strong moral character and professionalism.
10. Commitment to Christian values and the holistic development of students.

Subject-Specific Requirements:

SCIENCES (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computer Studies)

1. Relevant Bachelor's degree in the subject of specialisation.
2. Ability to conduct practical/experimental lessons (for Chemistry, Biology, Physics).
3. Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures (for Sciences).
4. For Computer Studies: Strong knowledge of computer systems, programming, networking, or databases is an advantage.

HUMANITIES (Bible Knowledge, History, Geography)

1. Relevant Bachelor's degree in the subject of specialisation.
2. Strong understanding of the secondary-school curriculum.
3. For Bible Knowledge: Strong understanding of Scripture and Christian principles.
4. For Geography: Ability to use maps, diagrams, fieldwork, and other geographical resources.

LANGUAGES (English, Chichewa)

1. Relevant Bachelor's degree in the subject of specialisation.
2. Excellent command of written and spoken English or Chichewa.
3. Ability to develop students' reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with the curriculum and Christian ethos.
2. Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.
3. Assess, record, and report student progress accurately and on time.
4. Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.
5. Integrate ICT and digital tools into teaching and learning.
6. Link classroom learning to real-life situations and challenges.
7. Maintain an organised, disciplined, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
8. Support extracurricular programmes, clubs, sports, and spiritual activities.
9. Participate in devotions, chapel services, and spiritual programmes.
10. Uphold Christian values and serve as a role model of integrity and faith.
11. Adhere strictly to safeguarding and child protection policies.
