Job Title: Artisan Mechanic

Location: Nchalo

Job Requirements

Malawi TEVET Certificate Level 3 or Advanced Craft and National Trade Test Grade 1 Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a busy manufacturing environment

Duties and Responsibilities

Services and maintains vehicles by following the machine service schedule to minimize machine down time
Diagnoses faults to vehicles by carrying out technical tests to facilitate repair works
Identifies and orders spares for vehicles by making references to parts manuals to reduce wastes and machine down time
Provides quality work by avoiding come back jobs (repeat jobs) to improve daily machine availability
Enhances cost efficiency, assess spare parts to determine their potential for reuse, thereby minimizing unnecessary waste
Promote and adhere to illovo's procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
