Job Overview
The M&E Manager will lead the institution-wide monitoring and evaluation framework, ensuring strategic initiatives translate into measurable impact. The role strengthens accountability, supports senior leadership decision-making, and promotes continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee institutional M&E strategy and frameworks
- Lead M&E for research projects, including theories of change, indicators, and data tools
- Support professional services departments (Finance, HR, Procurement, Labs, etc.) with M&E systems
- Produce high-quality institutional reports, dashboards, and scorecards
- Conduct data quality audits, evaluations, and operational assessments
- Train and mentor M&E officers, staff, and research teams
- Ensure compliance with donor, institutional, and ethical data standards
- Promote a culture of data use, evidence generation, and accountability
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, M&E, Health Informatics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in M&E within health research, public health, or development sectors
- Strong quantitative and qualitative evaluation skills
- Proficient in data analysis software (STATA, SPSS, R, Power BI, Excel)
- Experience managing M&E in donor-funded environments
